Volunteering is a humanitarian activity aimed at providing assistance and services without financial compensation. It allows individuals to contribute to improving society and promoting values of cooperation and solidarity. The Importance of Volunteering in Supporting Youth
As part of youth empowerment efforts, the "SkillALB: Digital Skills, Professional Training, and Entrepreneurship Program for Youth Employment in Albania" has been launched. This initiative, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by ENGIM, aims to foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth by providing productive employment opportunities for Albanian youth, ultimately improving their long-term career prospects.
Targeted Groups for the Program
The project targets around 4,800 young people aged 13 to 35 across five schools and two vocational training centers in five different regions of Albania. It focuses on developing skills in various fields, increasing participants' chances of securing suitable jobs aligned with their aspirations and career goals.
Key Responsibilities for Volunteers
The project requires skilled volunteers to contribute effectively. Their primary responsibilities include:
✔ Conducting comprehensive assessments of schools and training centers to evaluate teacher training needs and infrastructure improvements.
✔ Gathering information on best practices related to student internships.
✔ Developing models and mechanisms for collecting data on the impact of education on employment opportunities.
✔ Preparing communication guidelines for the project.
✔ Assisting in identifying Italian experts to mentor and guide Albanian teachers.
Accommodation and Transportation Arrangements
📍 Volunteers will be accommodated in shared apartments with other international volunteers. The apartments include essential services such as:

A fully equipped kitchen,

A washing machine.
💰 Additionally, volunteers receive a monthly stipend of €800 to cover basic needs, food, and local transportation. Flexible working hours are also available, combining fieldwork and remote work based on project schedules and volunteer circumstances.
Training and Support During the Volunteering Period
📚 Volunteers receive pre-deployment training sessions to familiarize them with the organization's values, safety procedures, and project-specific knowledge. They will also undergo field training in monitoring, evaluation, and administrative management.
💡 Additional resources and guidance sessions with relevant departments are provided to enhance their skills and ensure smooth project execution.
Eligibility Criteria for Volunteers
The project seeks qualified and experienced volunteers with the following:

A university degree in Political Science, Sociology, Statistics, Community Development, Law, or Human Rights.

Additional training in Project Management, Development Cooperation, or Logistics is preferred.
